LESLIE HAROLD STIVER Harold died peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2003 at Riverview Health Centre where he had lived for the past nine years. Born in Elgin, MB on May 15, 1910, Harold was predeceased by his wife Eleanor who he deeply loved, and is survived by his children, Grant (Arleen), John (Joanne), and Mary (Rick) his grandchildren, John (Abbey), Johanna (John), Dan (Lisa), Lauren, Grahame (Aubben), John and Benjamin; and great-grandchildren Benjamin, Olivia, Hudson, Peter, Ben and Sam. Harold and Eleanor were longtime residents of St. Vital and members of Regent Park United Church. Harold served in the RCAF during the Second World War. He retired from the Royal Bank after over 40 years of loyal service, and loved his garden, his curling at St. Vital Curling Club, and days with Eleanor, family, and longtime friends at Moose Lake. His family is most appreciative of the compassionate care he received from the staff at Riverview Health Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Ave. East, Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4.
