JEANNE OVERBY (nee VERSCHEURE) Peacefully, on Monday, March 3, 2003, Jeanne Overby passed away at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 86 years. Jeanne was born on December 11, 1916 in Inwood, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Bernt, her brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is survived by Allan, Holly, Chris and Karen Mapes, her sister Florence Milman, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tante Jeanne will be especially missed by her "angels/caregivers" Marie Lapalisse and Louise Courcelles. Jeanne enjoyed family gatherings, talking to her family and friends on the phone, and walking to Eatons and The Bay. Sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at the Riverview Health Centre. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 6 at the St. Marys Cathedral, 353 St. Mary Ave. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Verrier, Ken and Ron Overby, Jerry Morin, Aurele and Ron Courcelles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeannes memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
