Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULIETTE MARIE EDNA van GINKEL (nee PELLETIER) Peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at the Riverview Health Centre, Juliette van Ginkel passed away at the age of 74. Juliette is survived by her children and their families, Brigitte and Felix Sandron (Timothy and Elysa), Greg and Wanda (Sam, Tina, Bob, Jackson, Meagan, Brandy and Sean), James and Diane (Sean and Suzie) and her sister Claire Pelletier. She was predeceased by her loving husband Frank; her parents, Edmund and Clara; and her sister Solange. Born in Winnipeg on February 7, 1929, Juliette was educated in St. Boniface, graduating from St. Josephs Academy with the Governor Generals Medal for leadership and academic achievement. She completed an Arts Degree at the University of Manitoba and a commercial business course. She pursued a career as a translator with Canadian Publishers until 1959. Juliette dedicated her life to caring and inspiring her family. She had a passion for arts and crafts and has left a legacy of beautiful afghans with many in her extended family. She also loved music and spent many hours playing the piano and the organ. Juliette loved to vacation with her family throughout North America, by car. She looked forward to her retreats at the cottage in the Whiteshell and her winter home in Arizona. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre and the Palliative Care Program for their exceptional support over the past two months. Special appreciation is extended to Rina and Riccardo Sandron for their ongoing assistance. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 8 at 12:00 noon at St. John Brebeuf Church, 1707 St. John Brebeuf Pl., with Rev. Fr. Michael Koryluk presiding. Interment at Assumption Cemetery will follow a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. P. COUTU & CO.
