DON HAMILTON Don Hamilton passed away peacefully on March 4, 2003, with his family by his side. Our husband, father, Poppa and best friend lived his life with enthusiasm and generosity. He enjoyed a magical 30-year marriage to the love of his life, Dorothy. Their adventure together was an inspiration and shining example to all who knew him. Don was the youngest brother to a large family. He grew up in Winnipeg and spent many happy summers at Grand Beach. Don relocated to Vancouver where he began a lifelong successful career in the saw mill industry. Don was a tireless volunteer, community activist and enjoyed a productive roll with the Provincial Liberal Party. He was instrumental in organizing minor football in Richmond - a project near and dear to his heart. He was our mentor, hero and best buddy. There is no one whose life he touched that did not benefit from his huge and wise heart. Dorothy, his three children, Cheryl, Kathie (Tore) and Brian (Michelle) and his Hannah-Bean will always cherish the memories and the unconditional love which will guide them throughout their lives. Casey will miss his long walks with his best friend. A celebration of Dons life will be held at the Marriot Hotel in Richmond on Saturday, March 8 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dons name to the BC Cancer Society. Where we are going, I dont know When we will get there I aint certain All I know is I am On my way
