NICHOLAS BASS Peacefully on March 4, 2003, Nick Bass passed away in Selkirk, MB. Nick was a very helpful and considerate person. This was his gift he carried with him from his early years on the farm to his final days at the Tudor Home in Selkirk. Nick was excited about life every day, and gained many skills over his 95 years. Much of his working life was spent at Virginia Town Mines and CP Rail. Nick was an avid hunter and fisherman, receiving the Master Angler Award several times during his life, the last at age 92. The outdoors was his playground. Throughout the years that we were blessed with his companionship, Nick had many good friends and was always willing to give advice and make conversation. He radiated positive energy and was well educated and keen on nutrition and health. Nick was a sincere friend to everyone he knew, and his reward was the comfort he valued by sharing kindness. Nick will be sadly missed by good friend and neighbor, Eileen Savage, relatives and family, and friends and staff from the Tudor Home. He was predeceased by his wife Jessie; his brother Pete; and sisters, Mary, Anne, Chris and Kay. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Wakefield Cemetery, near Petersfield, MB. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
