ALINE BILODEAU (nee DUMESNIL) 1928 - 2003 Peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family, Aline Bilodeau, aged 74 years was carried off into the waiting arms of angels. Aline was born in Ste. Agathe on October 27, 1928. Aline was predeceased by her parents, Louis-Edouard and Lucienne (nee Peloquin) Dumesnil; as well as her sister Marie. She is survived by her sisters, Rita, Sr. Leonne and Sr. Marie-Paule; her brothers, Denis, Adrien and Richard. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Gerard (Gerry) and her nine children, Doris Bilodeau (Gilles), Gisele Meilleur (Leo), Paul, Edmee (Hubert), Leonne, Rolande (Tom), Rheal (Janet), Mona (Don), Diane (Rejean) and 25 grandchildren; plus 16 great-grandchildren. Aline was a dynamic, generous and energetic person who could light up a room with her presence. A woman who prided herself on her strong work ethics, she also brought joy into the lives of all the people she met. The many patients she cared for in the St. Norbert Lodge as well as those in St. Amant Centre would attest to this. She will always be remembered for her gentle nature, her contagious smile and her sense of humour. She had a knack of making everyone feel welcome in her home. The family wishes to thank Dr. Manness and staff of Morris General Hospital who showed compassion and care to Aline during her convalescence. A special thanks to all the staff on the 3rd floor of Foyer Valade who shared their help and kindness. Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass celebrating Alines life will be held on Monday, March 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alines memory to the St. Amant Centre, 440 River Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 3Z9.
