ROBERT (BOB) BLACKWOOD Robert (Bob) Blackwood, 66, recently passed away at his home in Brandon. Younger son of Jack and Madeline Blackwood of Brandon, he is survived by his brother John (wife Lorraine Andras) in Winnipeg and Johns three children, Laura in Winnipeg, Marjorie (husband Peter Schelling) in Whistler, and Harry (wife Vicki Taraska) in Winnipeg and their two young boys, Benjamin Robert and John Vincent. A shy man, Bob led a quiet life. He loved his dogs, driving through the Manitoba countryside and visits to the family cottage at Clear Lake. He volunteered and worked for a time at Fairview Home for Seniors. Burial took place on March 4 with arrangements in care of Brockie Donovan. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 339-12th Street, Brandon on March 12 at 4:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.
