BEVERLY ANN CHAMPAGNE It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Ann Champagne at Gillam, MB on March 1, 2003 at the age of 62 years. Bev was born to Len and Nina (Toots) Gordon on April 18, 1940 in The Pas, MB. Bev was raised in Gillam along with her brothers, Bob and Jim and sister Karen. She raised her three children, Dennis, Jeff and Shannon in Gillam. Bev took great pride and joy in her five grandchildren, Axel, Riley, Reid, Jaelan and Hailey. We are proud of her accomplishments as a mother and grandmother in her business and in her community. Bev loved her family, gardening, joining the bears in the berry patch and each spring she could be found with a grandchild or two making ditches to start the spring flow. Bev will always remain in the hearts of her family and many friends. She will be deeply missed by her children, Dennis, Jeff and Shannon; grandchildren, Axel, Riley, Reid, Jaelan and Hailey; father of her children, Andy Champagne; her brother Jim; sister Karen and many other family members. Bev was predeceased by her parents, Len and Toots; brother Bob and brother-in-law Sonny Crozier. We would like to thank the staff at the St. Boniface and Brandon General Hospitals, especially Dr. Mary Egan, who helped to care for Bev. A very special thanks to Dr. Samuel Smal and all of the wonderful staff at the Gillam Hospital for the loving care and support given to Bev and family. Your kindness and compassion will always be remembered. A note of appreciation to those who sent cards and flowers, stopped by to visit, prepared food during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rainbow Society, 302 - 171 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1M4.
