Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATRINA (KAY) CHORNOPYSKI (nee BADIUK) The family of Katrina Chornopyski sadly announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at Bethesda Place in Steinbach. Katrina was born May 9, 1909 in Arbakka, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Metro; her two sons, George and Johnny; as well as her parents; six sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by her children, Geraldine (George) Mintenko, Wilbert (Barbara) Chornley, Nick (Jean) Chornopyski and Wilma Chornopyski. Also missing her are her 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Katrina was a strong, independent woman who loved living on her farm in Arbakka. Sincere thanks to all of her caregivers and the staff at Bethesda Place. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. Viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Arbakka. Donations in her memory may be made to Bethesda Place, Box 939, Steinbach, MB R0A 2A0.
