Living Life to the Fullest RETA FOGG August 2, 1919 - February 20, 2003 We think that Mom awoke one day as she entered the second half of her life and realized there were still many great things to do. A whirlwind was set in motion. The circle of her rich life closed while visiting her first and last sisters, Laura and Ruth in Ontario. The girls enjoyed the memory of the Rhynold boys and others one last time. Born Reta Hazel Rhynold in New Glascow, NS she was the eldest of seven. Coming to Winnipeg with Fred Fogg in 1944, she mothered Ardeth, Allan and Terry on Matheson. In the 1960s she sold Avon, worked at Woolworths on Main, and met the late Peter Lucyshyn. From 1970 she managed the babys wear department at Sears Garden City until retiring in 1984. In the 1990s she met Ed Wright and moved to Transcona central to her kids. A voracious traveller she was hardly ever at home. Cant find Reta? Have you tried the airport? - was a popular family quip. She shared her time with so many people and always left everyone with a smile. Blessed with many memories are her family, Ardi and Joe Heath; Corinne and Trevor; Allan and Sari Fogg; Sean, Guy and Neil; Terry Fogg and Lisa Gower; and great-granddaughter Amanda. Beyond her family she had many more sisters. Nearly 60 years a Rebecca, Great Ashayhi of El Hagar Zuanna 132 and former Worthy Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star head a long list. She was a human dynamo and a selfless energizer, we will miss her. There will be a memorial service on Friday, March 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Kildonan United Church, 187 Kilbride, West Kildonan. Cremation has taken place. Donations in her memory may be made to your charity.
