Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERARD GOSSELIN In Saint-Pierre-Jolys at the De Salaberry Health Centre, Gerard Gosselin passed away on March 7, 2003, at 72 years of age. He will be missed by his wife Yolande (nee Hebert) after 49 years of marriage; his beloved son Miguel; his grandchildren, Jeshua, Genevieve, Mireille and Patrick, the joy of his life. He is also survived by his brother Robert (Anne-Marie) his sisters, Suzanne Berard, Lucienne Catellier, Fernande Carriere and Therese Hebert; his in-laws, Lorraine Hebert, Denis and Helene Hebert, Wilfrid and Jeanne Gosselin, Gilles and Jocelyne Hebert, Carmelle and Gerard Lafantaisie, Leo and Diane Robert; numerous nephews and nieces; as well as three uncles and five aunts. Gerard was predeceased by his dear son Berne; parents, Lucien and Bernadette Gosselin; sister Colette Forest; parents-in-law, Joseph and Rose-Alma Hebert; brothers-in-law, Paul Forest, Romeo Catellier, Roger and Guy Hebert; nephews, Ernest and Marc Berard and Ronald Gosselin; nieces, Marie-Paule Preteau and Melanie Catellier. Gerard was born in Saint-Malo on November 20, 1930. He resided most of his life on the ancestral homestead, working as a dairy and cereal farmer. He dedicated 25 years of his life as a municipal councillor of the R.M. of De Salaberry. Having great faith and devotion in the Virgin Mary, Gerard spent much time after retirement working and praying at the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes grotto in St. Malo. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ahmed of the Health Sciences Centre. Special thanks to Dr. R. Strank and the staff of the De Salaberry Medical Centre as well as family and friends for their prayers and support. Mass will be concelebrated by Fathers J. Choiselat and R. Forest, accompanied by Deacon Louis Gosselin on Tuesday, March 11 at 2:30 p.m. in the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church in St. Malo, MB. Prayer service will be held the evening prior, Monday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. also at the church. Interment will take place in the St. Malo Parish Cemetery following the mass. Lui survivent aussi, son frere Robert (Anne-Marie) ses soeurs, Suzanne Berard, Lucienne Catellier, Fernande Carriere et Therese Hebert; sa belle-famille, Lorraine Hebert, Denis et Helene Hebert, Wilfrid et Jeanne Gosselin, Gilles et Jocelyne Hebert, Carmelle et Gerard Lafantaisie, Leo et Diane Robert; de nombreux neveux et nieces ainsi que trois oncles et cinq tantes. Lont predecede, son cher fils, Berne; ses parents, Lucien et Bernadette Gosselin; une soeur Colette Forest; ses beaux-parents, Joseph et Rose-Alma Hebert; ses beaux-freres, Paul Forest, Romeo Catellier, Roger et Guy Hebert; ses neveux Ernest et Marc Berard et Ronald Gosselin; ses nieces, Marie-Paule Preteau et Melanie Catellier. Gerard est ne le 24 novembre 1930 a Saint-Malo ou il habita toute sa vie, jusqua recemment dans la ferme ancestrale ou il fut agriculteur et fermier laitier. Il oeuvra pendant 25 ans comme conseiller a la municipalite de De Salaberry. Homme de grande piete, a sa retraite il consacrait beaucoup de temps a travailler et prier a la grotte de Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes a Saint-Malo. Sa grande devotion a la Sainte Vierge Marie la soutenu durant sa longue maladie. La famille remercie sincerement le docteur Ahmed du Centre des Sciences de la sante. Merci special au docteur R. Strank et au personnel du Centre medico-social de De Salaberry ainsi quaux parents et amis pour leur soutien et leurs prieres. Les funerailles concelebrees par les abbes Joseph Choiselat et Rheal Forest, accompagnes du diacre Louis Gosselin auront lieu le mardi 11 mars a 14h30, accueil a 14h en leglise de Saint-Malo. Les prieres seront recitees la journee precedente, le lundi 10 mars a compter de 19h30. Linhumation aura lieu dans le cimetiere paroissial de Saint-Malo. Les personnes qui le desirent peuvent faire un don a la memoire de Gerard a la Societe canadienne du cancer, 193, rue Sherbrook, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. La direction des funerailles a ete confiee au Salon mortuaire LeClaire Brothers, 775-2220.
