KATHLEEN CHARLOTTE ROSS (nee CREED) Peacefully in her sleep on March 7, 2003 at the Middlechurch Home at 89 years of age, Kathleen Ross passed away. Kathleen leaves to mourn her four children, son Sidney Ross; daughter Beverley (Bill) Hopkins; daughter Donna Sofranuik; and son David Ross; grandchildren, Kimberly, Sydney Jr. (Jackie), Tannis, Debbie (Rob), Perry (Dawna), Sandy (Ron), Randy (Maxine), Darrell (Val), Dawn (Kevin), Monica, Michael and Clayton; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother Vic (Anna) Creed. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Stuart Angus; infant son Patrick Hugh; and daughter-in-law Jeanette Ross. Kathleen came to Canada from England at the age of six years old. She grew up in St. James and spent most of her teenage life there. After moving to Springfield, she met and married her husband Stuart and together they resided at Silver Fox Ranch in Birds Hill. Kathleen was a fantastic cook and enjoyed running the canteen at the East St. Paul Curling Club for many years. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends who knew what a great person she was. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment will be in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Pallbearers will be Syd Jr. Ross, Randy, Sandy and Perry Hopkins, and Michael, Monica and Clayton Ross. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleens memory may be made to the Winnipeg Human Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
