EMMA AZELDA MAW (nee DOUVILLE) January 11, 1901 - March 8, 2003 Peacefully, at the age of 102, Emma passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2003, at Tuxedo Villa. She was predeceased by her husband Bud in 1959. Emma was also predeceased by her son Cecil, daughter-in-law Nell, grandson Cecil, and son-in-law "Jo" Johannson. Emma is survived by her daughter Shirley Johannson; daughter-in-law Ilene; grandchildren, Sandra, Jeff, Cindy, Lory, Cheryl,Connie and Kevan; as well as 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Emma, the third of 14 children, was born in Neche, ND. She moved to Winnipeg in her late teens to be in the big city. Emma worked at Eatons until she met and married her husband Bud. Emma had a zest for life and brought her own style to everything she did. She had a love for dancing of all types, including having her grandchildren shake their heads as Grandma was taking belly dancing lessons in her late 70s. Emma also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. She loved to travel and had the opportunity to see much of the world. Emma enjoyed a long, happy, healthy life. She will be forever remembered and forever loved. A private family service will be held. The family would like to thank all who helped care for Emma over the last three years.
