GEORGE WEBB April 29, 1916 - March 9, 2003 It is with deep sadness, after a short battle with cancer, George passed away at Concordia Hospital surrounded by his family. George leaves to mourn his children, Bob (Sheila), Jerry, April (Fred) his brother Harold; sister Helen; sisters-in-law, Marion and Wilma; brother-in-law Gordon; and other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his dearly beloved Jean, which devastated George. He was also predeceased by brothers, Teddy, Terry, Richard; and sister Ilene. George served in the Second World War and returning from the war married Jean. He was a lifelong member of the Prince Edward Legion No. 81, and International War Veterans Alliance. He had his own construction business and worked very hard with his boys and other family members especially Jerry, who was always at his side until his demise. The family would like to extend thanks to the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Services and the staff at Concordia Hospital for their compassion. Cremation has taken place. A gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Prince Edward Legion, 300 Trent Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Georges memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
