Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH ELLEN BENNETT Elizabeth Ellen Bennett died in the Concordia Hospital Tuesday, March 4, 2003 in her 91st year. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Eileen in Winnipeg and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Cyril in 1988; by her parents George and Rilla McMillan; and her brothers Bob, John and Truman McMillan. Born in Kenora June 3, 1912, Elizabeth grew up in Norman, ON. In 1949 she married Cyril Bennett and moved to the Dryden area where they operated a dairy farm, and she remained until she moved to Winnipeg in 2001. Elizabeth belonged to First Baptist Church in Dryden. She enjoyed visits by nieces and nephews to the farm, kept up with current events on both local and global levels, and had an amazing memory for people and events. She kept up to date with as many family and friends as she could, and as the family historian both sides of the family relied upon her for information. Elizabeth was so very much appreciated by those who knew and loved her and will be missed more than she could ever have realized. Funeral services for Elizabeth Bennett were held Monday, March 10 at 1:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Dryden, with Pastor Ted Searle officiating. Interment took place in the Oxdrift Cemetery. Should friends desire, donations to The Beginning Experience or to a charity of your choice may be made through the Stevens Funeral Homes "Moffat Chapel" 50 Albert St., or by mail at P.O. Box 412, Dryden P8N 2Z1.
