DENIS ROLAND JOSEPH LECLERC July 30, 1953 - March 9, 2003 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and untimely passing of our dear life partner, son, brother, uncle and friend, Denis Leclerc at St. Boniface Hospital on Sunday, March 9, 2003. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family. He leaves to cherish his memory his life partner Jean Lowe; his parents, Claude and Alda Leclerc; his sister Claudette (Tim) McCrindle, their two children, Roxanne and Michael; sister Lise (Robert) Pujo, their two children, Zachary and Janique; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, many, many friends, including his fine feathered friends, Buzz, Duchie and Peanut. Denis was predeceased by his niece and goddaughter Janelle McCrindle. At the time of his passing he was employed with the Grey Nuns of Manitoba, Provincial House, as a Food Services Manager and prior to that at the St. Boniface Hospital as a Food Services Supervisor. He was a loyal and dedicated employee, always going the extra mile and always with a smile. Denis was a very gifted person. No matter what he put his mind to, he succeeded. His favourite saying was "it cant be that hard" and it wasnt for him. He was a member of "Les Gens de Bois" woodcarving club and over the years had carved many beautiful pieces. Denis was a man of great integrity, conviction and a man of his word. He was loved and admired by all who knew him and could always be depended on for a helping hand. His love of life and his wonderful sense of humour will be missed by everyone. The family would like to thank the Emergency Response Team who attended to Denis with care and compassion. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14 in the St. Boniface Cathedral. It will be presided by his uncle Rev. Fr. Isaie Blanchette, O.M.I. Viewing will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Denis memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
