ANTHONY ALLAN HRYHORCHUK It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Anthony Hryhorchuk, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Born August 2, 1954, to Tony and Rose. Anthony spent his life living and working in Ledwyn, MB. In 1975 he married his one true love, Verna and together they raised a happy, close knit family. He and Verna worked hard to build a successful family business, Park North Construction. He also carried on the family tradition through becoming the fourth generation to farm the family homestead. Through many of lifes challenges, Anthony persevered with a strong mind, positive attitude, and determination to not let anything slow him down. His passion for life and easy going nature is evident through his numerous friendships and business relationships. Anthony had been an active member in the Riverton Elks Club, supporting numerous community initiatives. He enjoyed travelling with his family, watching his son play hockey, camping, snowmobiling, and any other activity that allowed him to socialize with his friends and relatives. Anthony was predeceased by his daughter Kristy (1983) father Tony; grandparents, Alex and Anne Hryhorchuk and Albert and Verna Thorarinson. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Verna; children, Kelly and Brandy, Mark, and Scott; mother Rose; brothers, Curtis (Marilyn, Ryan, Niki) and Rory (Heather, Rebekah) uncles, Philip Hryhorchuk (Carol), Dennis Hryhorchuk (Kaitlyn), Wayne Thorarinson; aunts, Shirley Tomiak (Walter), Joy Kjartanson (Joe), Janet Helgason (Jerry), Veronica Johnson (Jim) mother-in-law Margaret Johnson; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Sigurdson (Maurice), Mabel Korchynski (Ron), Gwen Smith (Gerry), Sandra Johnson (Fergie) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends may call to pay their respects Thursday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m. at Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverton Hall. Interment to follow at Ledwyn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverton Elks Club, Riverton, MB R0C 2R0 or to the Hnausa Unitarian Camp, Box 1029, Arborg, MB R0C 0A0. With you a part of me hath passed away; For in the peopled forest of my mind A tree made leafless by this wintry wind Shall never don again its green array.
