Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL KUBRAKOVICH Peacefully on March 11, 2003 at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, MB, Pearl Kubrakovich of Teulon, MB and formerly of Komarno, MB, passed away at the age of 81 years. She was predeceased by her husband Peter and will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ben (Jeanette), Lillian (Hugh), Jane and Peter and sister Lena Zelisney of Winnipeg Beach, MB, 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Zoe, Cassidy, Alicia, Ronin and Jacob. Baba was born on a very cold wintery night on November 17, 1921. There was such an abundance of snow that Great Gido was unable to get to the registry for 10 days. Hence, she received a December 1 birthdate, which she quite often chuckled about. Baba was a devote housewife, mother, baba and friend to many. She intrusted us with the belief of hope, of faith and the value in ones personal integrity. All of which, are simply the fundamental building blocks of life. Our family extends a sincere thank you to the kind nursing staff of Teulon Hospital and her physician, Dr. P.G. Pillay. A special thank you to her good friend Lorraine Berard, whom she held in most high regard. In lieu of flowers, please donate generously to either of her two most favourite charities. The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3 or The Canadian Juvenile Diabetes Association, Manitoba, 1101-191 Lombard, Winnipeg, MB R3B 0X1. Prayers will be held on Thursday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Komarno, MB. Interment to follow in Komarno Cemetery.
