HARRY TCHIR 1921 - 2003 On Monday, March 10, 2003, in his 82nd year, Harry Tchir, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home. Harry leaves to mourn his loving wife Nettie; sons, Michael (Linda), Kenny (Connie) and daughter Penny (Doug) Podolsky; grandchildren, Jennifer, Kevin, Paul, Kenny and Lisa; great-grandchildren, Jesse, Alex, Eric, Emily and Gillian. Sister Myra Westman (Harold) sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. He was predeceased by his loving parents, a son Tommy a few months old, and brother Mike. Dad was born and raised in Winnipeg. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1942 to 1945 and for many years was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Dad was married to the love of his life for a wonderful 55 years. After serving his country, he began a lifelong 42-year career with Burns Foods, before retiring in 1983. Dad will be remembered for his wit, sense of humour and for his love of life. Harry had an endless desire to share his wealth of knowledge and experience with others. Dad was always there for his family and friends and his generosity, charm and understanding will be sadly missed and always remembered. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Feculak family for their special support. At Harrys request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14 at 11:00 a.m. from Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
