GEORGINA (JEAN) CLARK 1921 - 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and nana at her residence on March 10, 2003. She is survived by her sons, Ian (Colleen), and Malcolm (Mary) granddaughters, Heather, Sharon and Laurel. She also leaves to grieve her passing four brothers and a sister, and many nieces and nephews, all residing in England. Jean was predeceased by an infant daughter Susan, her husband John and a brother and sister. Jean was born in South Shields, England on July 5, 1921. This is where she spent her childhood and attended school. She served with the Royal Air Force where she met our Dad and they were married on December 26, 1945. In 1957 they moved our family to Canada where they worked hard to provide for us. Shortly after arriving in Canada, Jean worked part time at the Post Office and later spent many years at the Hudsons Bay Co. Just shy of their 50th wedding anniversary, her husband John passed away, leaving a void in her life. Mum was happiest at home fussing over her grandchildren, joining the ladies at the pool and at the bowling alley. She loved to sing, dance and work on her crossword puzzles with her sharp mind. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. B. Sharkey and her neighbourhood friends for their ongoing support throughout the years. A memorial service will take place on Friday, March 14 at 10:30 a.m. in the Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, or a charity of ones choice.
