Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNINA ALENE GIESBRECHT Peacefully, with her family by her side, Nina passed away on Monday, March 10, 2003, at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach. She was predeceased by her husband Bert whom she missed deeply. She was also predeceased by a grandchild Casey; and by her parents, Bob and Annie Mason. Nina leaves to celebrate her life her daughters, Fay (Don) Ernst, Diane (Lorne) Hunter; her two perfect granddaughters, Maegan Ernst and Abby Hunter; and two sisters, Joyce Bailey and Roberta Golding and their families. Nina was born on April 10, 1918 in Vassar, MB. Most of her life was spent in Ste. Anne, MB where she went to school, married Bert, raised their daughters, and made many lasting friendships. Her happiest times were those she spent surrounded by her family - nurturing them, sewing or knitting for them, or simply watching them grow. She will be remembered for her homemade buns, her beautifully crafted quilts, her violets, and her gentle ways. Thank you to the special people who offered their friendship and their care towards the end of her journey. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Steinbach United Church, 541 Main St., with ash interment to follow at a later date in the warmth of spring. Instead of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach. (204)326-1351.
