JUNE THEO SMALL (nee SHALEY) On March 4, 2003, June Theo Small (nee Shaley), beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away suddenly but peacefully in her sleep at home in Toronto. June leaves behind Robert, her husband of 44 years, her son Richard and his wife Karen, grand-children Nicholas John and Isabel June, her son Ian and his wife Fiona, as well as many relatives and friends across Canada and the United Kingdom. Those who knew June will remember her as a Winnipeg girl, as the only daughter of John and Frances Shaley, as Gold Medallist and Lady Stick at the University of Manitobas Faculty of Commerce, as a sister of Alpha Delta Pi, as a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grand-mother, and as a lifelong friend and ally, thoughtful and compassionate to all. June will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 8, 2003 and June now rests at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Junes memory to the University of Manitoba June Small Fund.
