Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM ERVIN COLP It is with great sadness that we announce that Ervin passed away on March 6, 2003 in his 85th year, following a brief illness. He will be fondly remembered by Evelyn, his beloved wife of 63 years; and by his four children, Jacqulyn (Jack), Murray (Patricia), Patty (Tim) and Cathryn (Greg) and by his 10 grandchildren, Lisa (Ian), John and Suzanne; Maurita, Michael, Andrew and Patrick; Scott, Darcy and Deborah; and by his two great-grandchildren, Lezlie and Alec. Ervin is also survived by his sisters, Merna and Merle; by his brothers, Wilbert, Ronald and Gilmore; by his cousin Gene; and by his many nieces and nephews. Ervin was predeceased by his sisters, Alma and Audrey (in infancy) and his brothers, Eldon, Raymond, Garnet, Marvin and Keith. Ervin was born in Bannerman in 1918 and grew up the Bannerman area. He and Evelyn were married in 1940 and they farmed near Bannerman until they bought a general store and service station in Deleau in 1963. Ervin and Evelyn retired to Killarney in 1974 and Ervin worked for a few years at a number of local businesses including Killarney Hardware and the Co-op store. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11 in the Wheatland Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Dan Stobbe officiating. Interment followed at the Killarney Cemetery. Ervins grandchildren, Lisa, Michael, Andrew, Patrick, Scott, Darcy and Deborah served as pallbearers. Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Ervin may be made to a charity of their choice. Arrangements were with Killarney and Boissevain Funeral Homes.
