JAMES (JIM) HOLINATY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Jim on March 13, 2003 at the age of 85 years. Jim was born in Winnipeg, MB, where he was educated and lived his whole life. Jim worked for the Winnipeg Transit system, where he drove streetcars, trolley bus, buses and served as a dispatcher for 37 years. Jim was a member of the Seven Oaks (King Edward) Masonic Lodge. Jim spent many hours at Rossmere Golf Course with his golf pals and his wife Ollie. Jim was also part of the 60 Plus Club at Kildonan Golf Course. He enjoyed bowling and was part of many leagues and teams over the years. Jim also enjoyed travelling and spent each winter in Palm Springs for about 17 years. He also enjoyed playing bridge with his many friends at Bronx C.C., and Good Neighbours. Jim was predeceased by his twin brother Mike and brother Martin. He leaves to mourn, his wife Olga (Ollie) of 63 years; brother Frank (Gwen) of Vancouver; daughter Janice Barber of Minneapolis; son Reg (Jan) Hall of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Heidi White, Kari and David Elshaugh, James, Chris, and Charles Hall; great-granddaughters, Alexi, Fallyn and Katarina; numerous other family and friends. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with visitation one hour prior to service. A private interment will take place at a later date.
