Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT KOOP Peacefully on March 14, 2003, Albert passed away at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 73 years. Albert is survived by his beloved wife Margaret; his daughter Theresa (Alan) Livingstone and granddaughters, Melissa and Christina. They will forever cherish his precious memory. Albert will be lovingly remembered by his three sisters, Catherine Plett of Steinbach, Helen and Maria Koop, both of Blumenort; three brothers, Peter (Elizabeth) of Steinbach, Gerhard (Sara) of Belize, Central America and Henry (Shirley) of Dauphin and sister-in-law Eleanor Koop of Fairford. Albert was predeceased by his parents and four brothers. Born December 21, 1929 in the Hanover Municipality, MB, Albert moved to Winnipeg as a young man to pursue his career as a welder. He worked at Ideal Brass and Plating for several years, later taking up a pipeline welding course. He became a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 254, where he has been active for the past 40 years. Other activities included square and round dancing. We wish to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff that took care of Albert during his hospital stay. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, March 19 at 1:00 p.m. Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alberts memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B6.
