ROSE (ROSIE) KOROL It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Rose, on Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at the age of 85 years. Rose went to be with her beloved husband Peter who passed away May 26, 2002. Rosie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Trudy and son-in-law Gerry Holowchuk; granddaughters, Lisa Holowchuk and Laura (Craig) Finlay; grandson Peter Holowchuk; sisters, Mary Shwaluk and Florence Petrovitch; and numerous family and friends. Rose and Peter spent their early years together as owners and operators of Gateway Grocery in Morse Place. Rose then pursued a career at The Bay, with a senior position in the Lamps and Home Accessories Department. Rosies pride and joy was her award-winning flower garden at their cottage at Grand Beach. Rosie lived life to its fullest and was known for her upbeat attitude, endless energy and friendly nature. Activities Rosie enjoyed were square dancing, bowling, bingo and tending to her flowers and plants. Rosie will be remembered for her keen business sense, fashionable appearance and her joyful and generous spirit. Special thanks to the staff at Concordia Place and Parkview Place Personal Care Homes for their compassionate care and kindness. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with viewing one hour prior with Chaplain John Friesen officiating. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Concordia Hospital Foundation, for Concordia Place, 1095 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S8.
