AILIE BERNICE McARDLE (nee OLSON) It is with deepest sorrow that the family announces the untimely passing of their beloved Ailie on Monday, March 10, 2003. A loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother she will be sadly missed. She leaves to mourn husband Jim of 49 years of marriage; daughter Sandra Mayer and husband Bruce; son Kevin and wife Darlene; her two grandchildren, Karen Mayer and Brent Mayer; sisters, Lorna, Dorothy and Ethel; brothers, Orville and Gordon. She was predeceased by her mother Olena and father Edwin; sisters, Eleanor, Jean and Margaret; brothers, Alvin and Norman; sister-in-law Irene (Normans wife) and brothers-in-law, Julien (Ethels husband), Cliff (Lornas husband) and Ira (Dorothys husband). Ailie was born on November 5, 1923 in Roblin, MB into a large family of 11 children and was brought up in the Grandview Area. She moved to Thunder Bay during the war and worked in the aircraft industry and hospital. On return to Winnipeg Ailie worked in the hosiery and credit department of the Hudson Bay Company until two years after marriage in 1954. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 18 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Ave. with Rev. Msgr. Ward Jamieson presiding. The family would like to thank Rev. Msgr. Ward Jamieson and Maurice Marion from St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church and Wojciks Funeral Chapel and everyone else that has been so helpful during this difficult time. Across the years I will walk with you, in deep green forests, on the shores of sand, and when our time on earth is through, in heaven, too, you will have my hand. Mom, we will miss your support and unconditional love. You will always be in our hearts till we meet again. We will always love you Mom.
