MARIA SCHUMANN On Friday, March 14, 2003 Maria Schumann, aged 79, of Stonewall MB, passed away peacefully in her home. She went from the arms of her loving children into the arms of her loving Lord. Born July 14, 1923. Maria was married to her husband Albert for 52 years, before his peaceful death on October 8, 2000. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Elli (Waldemar), Brigitte (Gary), Robert (Victoria), Heidi (Patrick), and Ursel; as well as seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mom and Dad came to Winnipeg from Germany in 1952. She worked full time for many years while raising her family and four children. Mom always had a smile for everyone. She especially loved her flowers, sunny days, and the call of migrating geese. We will always remember Mom as a loving, kind and totally unselfish person. She loved the Lord, and prayed continuously for Dad and us, our spouses, and her grandchildren. We were both honoured and blessed to be able to provide care for her during her final days, until God took her peacefully to His heavenly home. We love you Mom. See you in heaven. Funeral service will be held at the New Life Baptist Church (Highway No. 67, three quarter miles east of Stonewall), Tuesday, March 18, at 3:00 p.m. Pallbearers, Robert Schumann, Jared Schumann, Alexander Kutnik, Gary Verbrugge, Patrick Quinn, Manfred Hirsh.
