STEVE SHULE December 25, 1918 - February 22, 2003 Steve passed away suddenly on February 22, 2003, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. He was born in Austria and immigrated as a small child to Saskatchewan where he was raised. He moved to the Killarney area in 1946 and later to the Rowland District where he farmed for more than 50 years. Steve Shule was a hardworking man, and the work had to be done before Steve could relax. Steve was a loving family man to his wife Anne; and children, Frank, Sylvia, Dally and Raymond. Steve was proud of his childrens and grandchildrens accomplishments in life and their respected professions, and he was always interested in their activities. He was especially proud when Jamey returned to the farm, and he was able to farm with both his son and grandson. The great-grandchildren always gave great pleasure and a sense of pride to Big Papa - he thoroughly enjoyed their playful antics. Christmas was a time most special to Steve because he played host to the whole family as they gathered at his home for the annual Christmas Eve celebration. At this time Steve not only enjoyed the company of his family, but he was able to sit back, reflect and smile on all of his accomplishments through his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Steve had many friends in both the Killarney and Brandon areas. Steve always frequented the local coffee shops where he would spend most mornings and some afternoons sharing words of wisdom amongst his buddies. Steve was predeceased by his devoted and loving wife Anne; son Raymond; daughter Dally; and son-in-law Bill Corkish. Steve is survived by his daughter Sylvia; son Frank; and daughter-in-law Pat; his grandchildren, Brent Shule, Jamey and wife Sheryl Shule, Todd and wife Shannon Shule, Stacey Shule, Kent and wife Julie Corkish and Kelly Corkish; his great-grandchildren, Taylor and Brennan Shule, Sydnie Corkish and Graeden Shule. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters throughout Canada. Funeral services were held on February 28 at St. Felix Roman Catholic Church, Dunrea, MB. A private family burial was held at St. Felix Cemetery. Pallbearers were his six grandchildren and honorary pallbearers were his four great-grandchildren. Sadly missed and forever loved.
