MARION JOYCE BLOCK (nee McQUAY) Peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at the Victoria Hospital, Marion Block passed away at the age of 66 years. She is predeceased by her parents Oliver and Mary McQuay and her husband Joe. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Chris (Lee), Ken (Evelyn), Kevin (Blanche), and Clayton (Lynn) brother Keith McQuay, sister-in-law Shirley Lenz, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Marion was born and raised in the Dauphin area where she met Joe. They moved to Winnipeg and were married in 1954. After raising her family, she began a career in nursing at the St. Amant Centre, where she worked for 20 years. She loved travelling, curling, the Goldeyes baseball and her morning crosswords. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at 3:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Long officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. The family extends special thanks to the doctors and staff at the Victoria and St. Boniface Hospitals, also to CancerCare Manitoba. A special thanks to Dr. MacEachern.
