RON OLYNICK It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Ron, who passed away on March 15, 2003 at the age of 58 at the Beausejour Hospital. Ron was born April 9, 1944 in Landerville, MB. He went to school and lived in the Lac du Bonnet area as a teenager. Later on he worked at the mine in Thompson for a few years. He also worked at Zolondek Bros., plumbing with an uncle, stuccoing, and also for the Department of Highways until he was married in September of 1965. Together with his wife Judy, he moved to Winnipeg, where he worked for C.P.R., then later started with the Winnipeg Fire Department in 1970, until he became ill January 1993. Ron loved wildlife, the beauty of nature, camping and fishing, especially with his bud Jake. He looked forward to spring when he could pick his favourite mushroom, the morelle. He loved woodworking, playing bingo, watching curling and golf and was a whiz at crossword puzzles. He also loved playing card games when the family got together. Ron was predeceased by his sister in infancy, his father Mike in 1987; father-in-law Mike Bosak in 1988, and mother-in-law Jessie in 1997. He is survived by his loving wife Judy and three sons, Darryl (Susan), grandson Tyler; Darren (Sharon), Randy (Kim), Josh and Justin, and his mother Anne. Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends. Two precious little girls in his life that he adored were Stephanie and Jessica, along with his grandson Tyler. He also adored his dog Cindy, who was a faithful companion, and his 18 year old cat Herby. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, 11:00 a.m., March 20 at the Sobering Funeral Chapel in Beausejour, with Pastor Roland Rendell officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L OK6 or the Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
