Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKAREN ANNE HAINES (nee HILL) March 16, 2003 With her daughters by her side, Karen left to join her beloved husband and our father Ralph. Karen was predeceased by her mother in 1998 and her father in 1996. Karen was born in Winnipeg, MB on August 21, 1946. Karens family then moved to Ontario. Karen and Ralph met in 1965 and were married in 1966. Together they raised their family and spent thirty beautiful years together. Karen is survived by her two daughters, Wendy Flight (George), Kristia Schan (John) and her two precious grandchildren, Ryan and Courtney. Karens sister Linda Patry (Wayne) and their family. Karen loved to camp, read and bowl. Karen loved to host pig roasts for family and friends and travelling around North America with Ralph in their motor home. Karen was an active member of the Royal Purple before her health made it difficult for her to keep attending. Karen was a very lively person. With a generous heart. Karen was loved by all who knew her. Mom we will miss your warm laugh and beautiful smile. We know that you will be a perfect angel for Courtney and Ryan. The family would like to thank the palliative care staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, 5th floor unit 2. Special thanks to Dr. David Crawford for his compassionate care during this difficult time. We would also like to thank the staff and residents of the Carriage House North for all their kindness and comforting words. We would also like to thank Moms health care workers, Josie and Sheila. Family and friends are invited to join us for a Memoriam lunch March 20, 2003 at the Carriage House North 535 Leila Ave. from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Donations in her memory, in lieu of flowers, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, R3L 0K6.
