AURELE J. LABOSSIERE Aurele J. Labossiere passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on March 16, 2003 at the age of 80 years. Aurele leaves to mourn his five children, Gisele (Victor) Verrier, Lucie, Rosie (Bill) Labossiere Bees, Shirley and Rheal (Denise) his 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; as well as a brother Hermas (Cecile) two sisters, Marie Rose and Imelda; many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a son Gilles in July 1978; as well as by brothers, Walter, Lionel; and sisters, Gracia, Aurelie, Etiennette and Doralis. Aurele was born in St. Leon in 1923. He farmed for most of his life in Somerset and LaBroquerie. He was respected for his honesty and hard work. Aurele was a determined man who did not wish to be dependent on anyone. He was an active member of Club Eclipse 79 where he enjoyed many hours playing bingo and cards. He will be missed by his friends at Tache Center, as well as by many friends and family. The family would like to thank Dr. Ciric and the staff at Concordia ICU, and the nursing staff, speech department and Edward on 3 West at Concordia and 6A at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. A memorial service celebrating Aureles life will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Aureles memory to the St. Boniface Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
