JEFFREY JAY HALL It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Jeffrey Jay Hall at his home in Saskatoon, March 15, 2003. He is survived by his father Barre; brother Jonathan; stepmother Dawny; stepbrother Mark Korytowski; stepsisters, Tammy (Albert) Meijering and Andrea (Steve) Short; niece Kayla Short. Also survived by aunts and uncles, Meta Keist, Jim Pascoe, Adeline Ballard, Margaret Pascoe, Sarah Petelko, Harry Pascoe and Wesley Pascoe; cousins, Michca Fortin, Simon Ballard, Laura Petelko and Wilson Pascoe and great-niece Zoe Fortin. He was predeceased by his mother Kathleen; paternal grandparents, Bill and Penny Hall and maternal grandparents, John and Jane Pascoe. Jeff was born in Winnipeg July 13, 1969 and grew up in Fort Richmond and later River Heights/Crescentwood. He excelled at sports, playing baseball, hockey, basketball and special teams on the Churchill Bulldogs in high school. He graduated from Churchill High and later majored in Political Science at the University of Winnipeg. Jeff relocated to Saskatoon in 1995 (a city he greatly enjoyed) and pursued a variety of occupations and interests. He rarely missed a daily workout at the Y even when travelling. He participated in many political campaigns and actively pursued political discussion. Blessed with strong communication skills (and a powerful memory for dates, events and places) he was a formidable opponent when debating politics, sports or philosophical interests. Always close to family he travelled throughout Canada and the United States. He especially enjoyed attending Phillies and Buccaneers games with his father, brother and friends. His favourite moment in sports was the recent Buccaneer Super Bowl win (which he thought he would never see). He was planning a trip to B.C. with his father to visit relatives at the time of his untimely death. Jeff was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be in our hearts forever as we trust he is now with the Lord. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeffreys memory to his favourite charity the Salvation Army Memorial Fund 500 - 55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22 at 3:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
