SHIRLEY EILEEN LITTLE
On Tuesday, March 18, 2003, surrounded by love, Shirley Eileen Little passed away at the Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home at the age 84 years.
Eileen was predeceased by the love of her life, Richard, on November 12, 2002. We take comfort in knowing that after 58 years of marriage their love will continue in Heaven.
Mom leaves to cherish her memory, her three sons, Rod (Carol), Curtis (Mary), Dannie (Vivian) daughter Shannon (Jim) grandchildren, Liz, Dana, Jenny, Derek, Jordan, Jerra, Robin, Lauren, Richard and Cassidy; and great-grandchildren. Eileen is also survived by her sisters and her best friends, Eleanor (Orville) and Marjorie (David) as well as numerous other relatives. She was predeceased by her brother Gordon.
Eileen was a very gentle, caring person who was always concerned about others. She truly loved people and life and was a very social person. Mom loved to laugh and to have a good time. Her and Dad loved to travel and were fortunate enough to take many wonderful trips, where they met many great friends. Even though they travelled a lot, their favourite place in the world was Victoria Beach where they spent many terrific summers with family and friends. She truly loved her family and it was very evident our whole life. Mom was always there for us and we feel that she taught us well. Eileen also loved to entertain and was a perfect hostess. She was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed her many friendships with her bridge clubs.
A celebration of Eileens life will be held this afternoon, Friday, March 21 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Bedes Anglican Church, 99 Turner Ave., with Rev. Jamie Howison officiating.
Our family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital 5th Floor, as well as the staff at Heritage Lodge where Mom only lived for three short weeks. We appreciated all your kindness.
