Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) WINGERT October 18, 1914 - March 17, 2003 It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth (Betty) Wingert at the age of 88 years, on March 17, 2003. Betty is survived by her children, Bill of Lethbridge, Nancy (Norm) Stannard of Edmonton, Tom (Barb) of Winnipeg; as well as six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Madge Marchuk and Eleanor Welsh of Regina. Betty was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Tony, daughter-in-law Diane, brother John and her parents. Betty was born and raised in Regina, SK where she married her childhood sweetheart, Tony, in 1938. Tony and Betty moved their family to Winnipeg in 1960. Family was very important in Bettys life. She always relished visits from her children and grandchildren. There was always a home cooked meal and a good time at Grandmas house. Betty had many interests, including gardening, bowling, and playing a game of cards. Knitting, sewing, and needlepoint became a passion. Family members will forever cherish her artwork. Tony and Betty also loved to travel, enjoying many trips to Las Vegas, Hawaii, and Mazatlan. In accordance with Bettys wishes, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
