She also will be missed by her sister, Margaret, sister-in-law, Corrie, and many cherished nieces and nephews. Lorraine was born in Fort Garry and was a long-standing resident of the Riverview community where she worked from her home as a seamstress. Her hands were never idle. She also enjoyed family dinners, bridge, crossword puzzles and reading. At Lorraines request, cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held at Garry Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, March 24 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Peter Douglas presiding. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Elizabeth Giesbrecht and the medical professionals of CCU and the Palliative Care Unit of St. Boniface Hospital as well as her homecare team whose support allowed her to remain independent.
