LAURA CATHERINE REIMER (nee WIEBE) 1930 - 2003 Peacefully on March 19, 2003, Mom passed away at St. Boniface Hospital following a second bout of cancer. She is predeceased by her parents, Ben and Katherine, brother Willard, and sister Helen Delkin. She is survived by her husband Eric; daughters, Joy Hinkelman (Bob) and Charmagne; sons, Garth and Keith, and precious grandchildren, Amanda, Lissa and Stephen. Lauras brother Jeffrey Wiebe (Jorlean), sister Myrna Kalbfleisch (Earl) and their families, and brother-in-law Jay Delkin. Mom was born and raised in Steinbach, Manitoba, then married Eric at Minna, Nigeria, Africa in 1955. We kids were regaled with stories both humourous and passionate of that most beloved time in their life. Mom loved sewing, needlepoint, petit point, and was an avid reader. She worked for Economy Textiles in Winnipeg for 20 years to finance her "habits"!! The family wishes to thank Dr. C. Loepp, Ann Rediger, and all the exceptional staff at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit. We send a special thank-you to all our friends and relatives who eased our vigil. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Calvary Temple Missions or a charity of your choice. "Well done, my good and faithful servant." We love you so. Memorial service will be held Monday, March 24 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home. Pastor Bruce Martin officiating.
