PATRICIA ELIZABETH HORCH (nee GEARD) February 5, 1954 - March 22, 2003 Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, Pat went to be with her Lord and Saviour, at the age of 49. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 31 years, Stan Horch; son Scott (Penni) and daughter Melanie (Leonard) grandchildren, Brianna and Abigail; sisters, Kathy Bristow (Dave) and Leah Wiebe (Peter) grandmother Beth Graham; mother-in-law Bertha Horch; brothers and sisters-in-law, Phil and Annalora Horch, Frank and Linda Friesen, John and Naomi Wall, Dave and Brenda Horch, Mark and Karen Horch and Jim and Shirley Horch; her uncle Eldon Graham; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Pat was born February 5, 1954 in Selkirk, MB. She moved to Winnipeg in 1969 where she met her husband Stan. They were married in 1971. She adored her husband, children and grandchildren. Pat spent most of her working career in the insurance industry where she enjoyed working with her co-workers. She spent 11 years at Harvest Insurance in Steinbach, and the last six years at Dowling Insurance in Winnipeg. Pats family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff on 5B at the St. Boniface Hospital for all their tender care towards her. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Albright Evangelical Church, 3400 DeVries Ave., with Pastor Neill Stitt officiating. Viewing prior to the service. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
