DONNA IRIS VANDALE (nee SUTHERLAND) Peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at St. Boniface Hospital Donna Vandale passed away at the age of 63 with her family by her side. Donna was born in Winnipeg on September 4, 1939 to Donald and Evelyn Sutherland (nee Jackson). She attended school at Earl Gray, Norberry and Glen Lawn. She worked in the Eatons Credit Department until the birth of her first child, during this time she also volunteered as swimming instructor, guard at St. Vital YMCA. Donna later joined the City of Winnipeg Parks and Recreation Department in 1976 and retired in September of 2000. Donna was very proud of her Scottish Heritage. Donna will be lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of her loving husband Bob Vandale, her children, Michael (Sharlene) and Tim (Joanne) as well as her precious grandchildren, Danick and Sophie. Donna is also survived by her twin sister Lynn Fraser, brother-in-law Roger (Jeanine), sister-in-law Theresa (Mike) Kreitz, and numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by both her parents, Donald and Evelyn Sutherland; and a brother Marshall (Skip) Sutherland. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital for their patience and compassion during this difficult time. A funeral mass celebrating Donnas life will be held on Wednesday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bernadettes Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd. with Fr. Fred Olds officiating.
