MARGARET ALMA BEATTIE 1909 - 2003 Peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2003, at the Charleswood Care Centre, Margaret Beattie passed away. Margaret Alma was born June 27, 1909, at Erinview, MB. She married Robert Beattie in 1929 in Winnipeg. They resided in Thunder Bay from 1936 to 1967, then returned to Winnipeg in 1967. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1978; infant daughter Jean; sisters, Dorothy Pittis, Phyllis Courtland, and Joan Laxdal; brothers, Donald and Benjamin Overton; sons-in-law, Elmer Dobratz, and Danny Martyn. She is survived by her daughters, Rita (Marty) Crawley, Roberta (Bill) Reilly, Donna Dobratz, and Sheila Martyn; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grand-children; many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Charleswood Care Centre for their loving care. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 26 at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment to follow in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
