ROSE DUTCHAK (nee MOSALOWSKI) May 10, 1914 - March 23, 2003 It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of our dear mother and baba, peacefully at home, with her children and grandchildren at her side. Born in Gimli, MB to the late Joseph and Anna Mosalowski and predeceased by her husband William (Bill) on October 11, 1987. Survived by daughter Betty (Bruce) Arnason of Gimli, son Ernie (Ruth) Dutchak of Calgary, and daughter Debbie Levreault and partner Fred Lyon of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Lori, Ron and Carla (fiancee Ryan Desjarlais) Arnason; Brian, Jason, Jodie Levreault; Grant and Christy Dutchak. Also survived by her sister Helen Sigurdur, sisters-in-law, Marcia Yanishewski, Dora Mosalowski and Doreen Moss all of Gimli; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her sisters, Caroline Chobotuck, Mary Ryback, Irene Stojak; and her brothers, Tony Mosalowski and John Moss. Rose attended school at Dnister School and worked in Winnipeg until her marriage to Bill, after which they established their home on the Dutchak farm and raised their three children. She was an active member of Gimli Lutheran Church and treasured her relationships with the church and church people, especially with the ELW group. Her many activities included life membership in the New Horizons Club, bowling, travelling, exceptional gardening, homemaking and sharing her gifts of love with her friends and her entire family. We thank God for the gift of our wonderful mom and baba and the years we enjoyed with her. Sincere gratitude is expressed to the Homecare workers, all the medical staff who cared for her and Pastor George Johnson. Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28 A funeral service will be held at Gimli Lutheran Church, 50-3rd Ave., Gimli on Wednesday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor George Johnson officiating. Interment to follow at the Gimli Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be Jason Levreault, Brian Levreault, Lori Arnason, Carla Arnason, Ron Arnason, Fred Lyon and Dennis Mosalowski. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gimli Lutheran Church, Box 118, Gimli, MB R0C 1B0. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
