ROLAND FILLION Le 22 mars 2003, apres une longue maladie, Roland est decede a lage de 74 ans au Centre de la Sante Riverview. Roland est ne le 12 avril 1928 a Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Il laisse dans le deuil son epouse Cecile; un fils Hector (Therese Besnard) de Sherbrooke, QC; une fille Nicole (Henry Talbot) dAltamont; quatre petits-fils, Cody, Max, Miguel et Pascal; une soeur et cinq freres, Roger, Romeo (feu Annette), Donat (Shirley), Paul-Emile (Monique), Rose-Alice (Roger) et Olivier (Laurette). Il fut precede dans la mort par Antonin (Florence) et Carolle (bru). Des sinceres remerciements a lequipe du Dr. Maxwell du centre Hospitalier Victoria pour le souci des soins et leur humanite. Le visionnement aura lieu en leglise Sainte-Famille, 778 rue Archibald a Saint-Boniface, le mercredi 26 mars a compter de 10h, suivi de la Celebration de la Vie presidee par le pere Ronald Leger a 11h. Le service se termine a leglise. Les cendres seront deposees au cimetiere de Saint-Boniface ulterieurement. Les amis qui le desirent peuvent exprimer leurs sympathies en offrant un don a la Fondation du Centre Hospitalier Victoria (oncologie), 2340 chemin Pembina, Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8. "Dad, tu etais toujours la pour nous et tu nous manqueras." On the 22nd of March, 2003, after a lengthy illness, Roland passed away at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 74 years. Roland was born in St. Jean-Baptiste, MB on April 12, 1928. Roland will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cecile; his son Hector (Therese Besnard) of Sherbrooke, QC; his daughter Nicole (Henry Talbot) of Altamont, MB; four grandsons, Cody, Max, Miguel and Pascal. Also left to mourn his passing are his sister and five brothers, Roger, Romeo (late Annette), Donat (Shirley), Paul-Emile (Monique), Rose-Alice (Roger) and Olivier (Laurette). He was predeceased by Antonin (Florence) and by Carolle (daughter-in-law). The family expresses its sincere appreciation to Dr. Maxwells team of the Oncology Department, Victoria General Hospital. Viewing will be held at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. in St. Boniface, on Wednesday, March 26 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Mass at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Ron Leger presiding. The service will terminate at the church and cremation will follow. Interment of Rolands cremated remains will take place in the St. Boniface Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rolands memory to the Oncology Department of the Victoria General Hospital Foundation, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8.
