EILEEN MAYTWAYASHING (Wabi-Bineshii-Kwe) Accidentally on March 20, 2003, Eileen Maytwayashing aged 55 years, dearly beloved wife of Orville Maytwayshing of Lake Manitoba First Nation. Eileen was born July 6, 1947 at Lake Manitoba First Nation. Her hobbies included making blankets, traditional dancing, picking berries, canning, hunting with Dad and camping. She always had a meal prepared for everyone who walked into her home, helping people out in any way when they needed it. She worked hard to support herself and her family. Eileen had a wonderful sense of humour. She leaves to mourn, besides her husband Orville, her mother Vera Missyabit, her children, Arliss (Crystal), Annette (Rodney), Jason (Charmaine), Trudy (Julius), Mary (Barry) and Wanda (Garnet), twenty-one grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two special grandchildren, Norma and Kyle whom she was raising. Eileen was looking forward to the birth of a new grandchild and great-grandchild. She also leaves to mourn brothers and sisters, Yvonne (Ron), Sheila (John), Veronica, Genevieve (Fernando), Robert (Beatrice), Joe (Freda), Ronnie, Dale, Reid (Claudette) and Wesley, along with many nieces, nephews, close friends too numerous to mention, extended family members and the many children she fostered over the years. She was predeceased by her father Robert Missyabit on March 23, 2000, four brothers, Brian, Charles, Clarence and Leslie; her grandparents, Wallace and Constance Carpenter. Wake services will begin at 7:00 p.m on Monday, March 24 at Orville Maytwayashings residence on Lake Manitoba First Nation. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26 at Saint Theresa Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Mario officiating. Interment to follow in the Lake Manitoba Reserve Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren, grandchildren, god children and numerous close friends. Active Pallbearers will be Barry Swan, Rodney Lavallee, Garnet Mousseau, Ivan Maytwayashing, Julius Mousseau and Trevor Sumner. Arrangements by ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES, LTD.
