Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM JOHN STANLEY McKAGUE February 25, 1911 - March 22, 2003 Peacefully with family by his side, Dad passed away at the Red River Place Nursing Home in Selkirk. He had now joined his wife Jessie (Dolly) who passed away in January 2003. He leaves to mourn his son Bill (June) McKague of Inwood and daughter Edith (Maurice) Carman of Stonewall. His grandchildren, Dianna (Ted) Rothwell, Tracy (Darryl) Mann, Lori (Bill) Mott, Patti McKague, Maureen (Chris) Jackson, Gordon McKague and Warren (Alana) McKague; and nine great-grandchildren. His brother Milton (Esther) McKague, his sisters, Marion Barlow, Irene (George) McKerracher. He was predeceased by his brother Stuart and sisters, Eva and Edith. Dad was born in Coulter and at a young age moved to Inwood where he and Mom farmed until their retirement to Stonewall where they resided in Crocus Manor for 25 years. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Red River Place Nursing Home and Dr. Lindenschumidt for the care and compassion Dad received over the past two years. Dad enjoyed farming, spending time at their cottage and doing his woodworking. We will miss him very much. At his request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Dad and Moms life on Saturday, March 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall in Stonewall (374 1st St. W.). In lieu of flowers, donations in Stans memory may be made to Red River Place, 133 Manchester Ave., Selkirk, MB R1A 0B5 or to a charity of ones choice.
