DOROTHY TUMMON (nee PARSONS) Quietly, on the second morning of spring, Dorothy Tummon (nee Parsons) slipped away. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Dorothy, Kathryn, Karen, and Kim of Winnipeg and Sherillee; and her son Terrence of Vancouver and by her 14 grandchildren and her many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughters, Carolyn and Patrice; and sons, Mathew and Markam. Dorothy was born an only child, on May 4, 1927, in Dauphin, MB and raised in Rorketon, SK and Winnipeg. A beautiful woman with a brilliant smile, she loved music and could play any instrument she picked up. She had a lovely singing voice and was an accomplished artist in oils and acrylics. She devoted her life to her husband James (predeceased) and to their children, for whom she set an example of courage and optimism through her indomitable spirit and fierce love of life. We will all miss her many gifts of love, her style and her sense of humour. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
