He was predeceased by his daughter Emily; sons-in-law, Allan Varnes and Ken Peters; brothers, Edward, Gus and Adolf; sisters, Olga and Matilde and his parents, Paulina and Michael. Herman was born and raised in Green Bay, MB. It was there that he met and married his wife Elsie on June 10, 1935. They resided on their farm in Golden Bay where they started their family. They later moved to Winnipeg where he began his 31 year career with Canada Packers. During his retirement, Herman spent many enjoyable hours fishing, gardening and woodworking. Herman was a very kind and generous man. He was devoted to his family, making sure that everyone was taken care of and always lending a helping hand to whoever needed. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His generous spirit will remain in all those that he touched. Our family would like to express our sincere gratitude to Susan Grzenda and all her staff of Concordia Hospital, who helped make Hermans last days as comfortable and dignified as possible. Thank you to all our relatives and friends for your support, encouragement and visits. A special thanks to Velma and Harry for all that they have done.
