MARIANNA BILNIK 1921 - 2003 Peacefully, on Monday, March 24, 2003, Marianna Bilnik, aged 81 years, passed away in Selkirk General Hospital with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Waclaw in 1978; and her son Zygmund in 1942; and two brothers, Henryk and Adam. Marianna will be deeply missed by her children: daughter Lilia (Stan) Nazarek, daughter Ursula (Ryszard) Kwapinski, son Ryszard (Krystyna) four grandchildren, Marzena (Paul) Preis, Esther (Sergio) Bilny, Matthew (Mariannas precious grandchild) and Bozena; three great-grandchildren, Jassmine, Phillip and Simon; brother and sister and their families in Poland. Marianna was a wonderful mother and grandmother who always put her family before herself. We will always miss and love her and she will be forever with us. The family would like to thank the girls, especially Laurel, Iris, Pat and Sandra of Homecare from Selkirk for all their care and compassion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 28 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Mariannas memory to CancerCare Manitoba or Holy Ghost Church Foundation.
