Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAUL POULIN April 4, 1926- March 24, 2003 After a courageous battle with cancer, Paul was called home to our Lord. He passed peacefully with loved ones at his bedside. Paul was born in Quebec City to Elizabeth Franke and Alfred Poulin. He is predeceased by his mother and father. Paul moved to Winnipeg in 1953 where he met his wife of forty six years, Laura (Eleanor) Kuschei. Together they endured their share of struggles, sorrows, joys and triumphs. Paul is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife Laura; his four children, Elayne, Elizabeth, Karen, Christopher and their partners; his two grandchildren, Mitchell and Nicholas; his sister Gertrude Cambpell and her sons, Steven and Alec; his brother-in-law Norman, as well as numerous dear and cherished friends. As a father and grandfather Paul was extremely generous with his time. Whether teaching games such as chess, cards, cribbage, scrabble, or taking the kids skating, canoeing or to play catch, Paul passed along lifes lessons, and left us with memories that will forever warm our hearts. Paul worked for Atomic Energy in Pinawa and then for the Royal Canadian Mint as a Purchasing Agent. He had a tireless work ethic. He had a love for the outdoors and was an avid sportsman. Paul excelled at golf, baseball and loved marathon walks, cycling, bowling and in his earlier years canoeing. Paul was a devout Catholic and an active parishioner of St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church for many years. Paul loved travel and experiencing new places. He had an artists spirit. He was devoted to his family and was always ready with a word of encouragement and praise. Pauls last days were spent at St. Boniface Hospital in the Palliative Care Unit. The compassion and excellent care shown and given by the staff of that unit, gave us such profound peace of mind. We are so very grateful for those people who looked after our dad in his final hours. We are also deeply appreciative of the care given to Dad by Doctors Moncek and Lezack and the Seven Oaks Oncology Clinic. There will be a memorial mass at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, Friday March 28 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A5 Rest in peace Dad. Youll always be with us. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
