WILHJALMUR JONAS SIGURGEIRSON It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our husband, father, Afi, brother and best friend. Bill beloved husband of Maria sailed away on March 25, 2003 from the Arborg hospital at the age of 84 years. Bill will be forever remembered by his beloved wife of 60 years Maria; one daughter Cyndi (Alvin) Johnson; grandchildren, Tara, Landon, Ashley and Landon; one brother Jon; brothers-in-law, Neil (Merilyn), Baldi (Isabel), Grimsi. Dad was an honorary life member of the Masonic Viking Lodge No. 175. As well as a member of the Interlake Shrine. He was a true Viking, proud of his Icelandic heritage and truly a pioneer. His passion was all about boats. He was a great explorer and was always on an adventure. Dad was an honest man, his word was gold, he was well respected, extremely thoughtful and considerate. He had a unique way of solving problems and an uncanny sense of humour. He loved his family very much and thought the world of them. He was so proud of their achievements. We will miss him beyond words. Honorary pallbearers, Baldi Baldwinson, Nell Baldwinson, Grimsi Brynjolfson, Binnie Sigurgeirson, Alex Rundle, Skuli Paulson and Erlend Settee. We extend our deepest thanks to the staff of the Arborg Hospital who gave such great care and support to Dad and the family during his hospital stay. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Riverton-Hnausa Lutheran Church in Riverton, MB, with Pastor Trudy Sluth officiating.
